Crackley Bank Primary School has an eye-catching and modern library area and entrance lobby & reception which provide a welcoming entrance and first impression for visitors, pupils and staff alike, thanks to Fords of Blythe Bridge.
As part of a major new-build and refurbishment project at the school, Fords of Blythe Bridge has designed and built a bespoke round-roomed library and ICT area, fitted out with computer benching and a custom-made vaulted skylight above to help improve teaching and learning in these key subjects.
A new reception area was also built, which includes a secure lobby area and adjoining reception, separated off by a bespoke solid ash and glazed reception counter to create a striking first impression. Additional offices and stores were also created as part of the building programme, and the adjoining hallway, first aid areas and other administrative & teaching areas were refurbished as part of the overall project.
Fords of Blythe Bridge was chosen because of the company’s experience of carrying out extensions of this kind within the primary school environment, and because of the company’s reputation for a high quality design and finish in what needed to be an eye-catching and modern extension to the school. The new buildings were designed and built with a variety of finishes, including render, brick and cedar wood to provide interest and visual impact.
This flagship build has provided the school with first-rate facilities for now and for the future, providing a first-rate teaching & learning environment within the library and ICT area, whilst the impressive lobby area within its hardwood-glazed reception provides a warm and welcoming environment in which to receive visitors to the school.
